St Osyth won by 10 wickets

 

St Osyth easily overcame Braintree by 10 wickets in Two Counties Division C.

Braintree batted first and lost 2 early wickets to Ross Evans before Matt Kent and Geoff Eveling

put on 44. Evans then dislodged Kent to finish with 3-40. At 96-4 in 23 overs, Braintree seemed to have

settled the innings, but leg spinner Harry Nightingale came on to take 5-16 in 5 overs as the visitors dramatically collapsed to 109 all out in 28 overs.

Sam Hennessy and James Handscombe batted confidently to knock off the required runs for Toosey in 23 overs with Hennessy unbeaten of 65 and Handscombe 36 not out.
