Mistley v St Osyth

 

St Osyth won by 14 runs

 

St Osyth narrowly won this hard-fought contest in Division C by 14 runs at Mistley.

 

 

James Handscombe and Jason Lloyd enjoyed another century partnership of 118 in 26 overs before 

Handscombe having played a fine innings of 72,including 13 fours, was out. Lloyd steadily accumulated runs and also made fifty, sharing in a stand of 63 with Anthony Hazelton, who scored a rapid 73 not out in 12 overs with 3 sixes as St Osyth scored 246-5.

 

In reply, Mistley also made the most of the good batting surface with Edgar Dunkley scoring 66, and Tim Hills keeping the home side in the hunt with 58. Anthony Hazelton collected 3 wickets as St Osyth managed to defend their target as Mistley finished 14 runs adrift on 232-8.
